She writes: "I'd like to speculate that Seth Whipple is the son of Jacob Whipple {3878} for two reasons: 1) Seth names his son Jacob, and 2) Seth and Ephraim Whipple {3889} are living near each other in Dana in 1850 (where Jacob died in 1818). But, that's speculation, and I haven't found proof. It does seem unusual that Jacob and his wife have kids in 1779, 1781, 1782 and 1784, and then there are no others--at least listed in the WGW.
